Tech Article 5/3/13
- Some law enforcement authorities, though, say there is a bigger issue — that carriers and handset makers have little incentive to fix the problem.
- In San Francisco last year, nearly half of all robberies involved a cellphone, up from 36 percent the year before; in Washington, cellphones were taken in 42 percent of robberies, a record
- Carriers say they have faith in the database, which they created with police departments across the country. They also say they are taking independent steps as well to address the problem.
- Representative Eliot Engel, Democrat of New York, has proposed a legislative solution. A week ago, he introduced legislation that would make it illegal to modify a phone’s identifier, among other preventive measures. In Britain, it is illegal already.

wikispaces.com topics
I feel a good topic to write about next time using wikispaces.com would be current type of music we listen to.
Everyone listens to different music so each person could make a pages about their favorite music or band. And you could support your opinion by backing it up with statistics, opinion, and facts. and each person could present their favorite type of current music that they listen to.

The Nikon D7100 has a specially designed DX-format 24.1-megapixel CMOS sensor.
- -Nikon has revealed a new enthusiast-level flagship DX-format camera, the 24.1-megapixel Nikon D7100. The much-awaited update to the aging D7000 has a professional-level 51-point AF system, and continuous full resolution shooting at 6 fps. Notably, the camera also does away with the optical low pass filter – meaning it should be able to capture sharper detail than cameras with a similar resolution.

blog assignment 3/1/13
If i were to go back in time i would go back in time to my freshman year of high school and i would have done it completely different. I would have made better choices and tried to do things differently. As much as i have some good memories from my freshman year i also have absolutely horrible memories from it as well. And as i would go back and change it i would make all those horrible memories good memories or at least better memories.

White House petition to unlock cell phones hits 100,000 trigger
President Obama can't overturn the Library of Congress' decision, but he can -- if he chooses -- call for a new law restoring Americans' right to unlock mobile devices they legally purchased.
- The petition, which passed the threshold last night and now stands at more than 102,000 signatures, protests a regulation from the Library of Congress that prohibits unlocking phones without the carrier's permission -- even when a customer's contract with the carrier has expired.
- A petition asking President Obama to oppose a new rule restricting cell phone owners from unlocking their devices has passed the 100,000 mark, meaning the White House is now obliged to respond.
- The petition is partly symbolic: The Library of Congress and the U.S. Copyright Office are part of the legislative branch, not the executive branch, meaning that Obama cannot overturn the decision even if he disagreed with it.

Do Now 2/19/13
Adding to the classes in school i feel like we should add DECA. DECA is a great program that deals with business and you compete against other schools presenting your presentation. You travel to all different events and present your project for judges and explain your project thoroughly so they get the feeling you're trying to give off. This truly helps with college especially if you want to major in business or marketing. This class would be counted as an elective that you have the choice of taking. Its an all year round elective that takes places only in school unless you're practicing for an upcoming competition.
